First post for 2013

TJ on the road again 2013

Well, here we go again, this will be trip number 3 around most of Australia. You have clearly found the right address tjontheroadagain2013 so just add it to your favourites and you can't go wrong

You will find our 2011 trip still remains on Blogger under the title TJontheroadagain. That trip started in Sydney, travelled through Western NSW and then Western Queensland and then crossed the Barkly Tablelands, entering the Northern Territory via the Three Ways junction slightly to the north of Tennant Creek. From there we travelled to Darwin and then crossed into Western Australia near Kununurra, did the WA coast down to Perth and then crossed the Nullabor into South Australia, skirted across the top of Victoria and back to NSW.

Our first free camp and on the first night ! A very nice free camp at Gunning.

This trip we are travelling the more usual route, down to Wentworth NSW, across as little of Victoria as possible, into South Australia via the Riverlands before spending some time with family in Adelaide - it's our son Stuart's 50th birthday and some of the family are flying or driving in for the celebration.

Pictured, left to right, TJ, our younger daughter Leanne, Robyne, our son Stuart (the birthday boy), older daughter Donna.

This post is now after those festivities (a great time was had by all) and we have travelled to Port Augusta to stock up on supplies and are now headed north up the Stuart Highway towards Darwin.

Parked near the centre of Port Augusta shopping centre, the razor wire on the yard is a bit of a surprise !!

There have been a few changes to Blogger since I used it last and I am struggling with formatting at present. I'll post this and then get some more pictures organised soon.
